Product Compatibility
SizeX IMCStips can process samples in both solubilizing and denaturing conditions. The ionic strength of the sample and eluant should be at least 20 mM to eliminate the effect of negatively charged groups on the sorbent. For protein separation, buffers with > 50 mM ionic strength is recommended. Compatibility chart below includes chemical examples but not limited to the list. Avoid strong oxidizing agents when using this product.

MAM Workflow Using SizeX IMCStips®
Our tips are designed to allow for buffer exchange and to work with chaotropic salts such as 6-M guanidine. This process, typically implemented in bioanalytical procedures such as multi-attribute method (MAM), allows for the efficient reduction of guanidine prior to trypsin/LysC digestion. The resins contained in these IMCStips® lack absorptive properties which provide high recoveries of biomolecules.
