Integrated Micro-Chromatography Systems, Inc. (IMCS) co-founders Qian Wang, Ph.D., and L. Andrew Lee, Ph.D., were both honored in Columbia Business Monthly‘s list of The 50 Most Influential People in Columbia in 2020.
From the article:
This biotechnology company delivers tools and services that pave the way for the future of precision medicine. The company strives to address the needs of clinical and research laboratories through advanced technologies that increase testing efficiency and accuracy – never more important than this year during Operation Warp Speed. As Covid-19 surged in the spring, the company produced hundreds of liters of hand sanitizer to distribute to healthcare systems.
Aside from producing hand sanitizer, IMCS has ramped up the development of novel molecular diagnostic technologies to aid in COVID-19 testing. IMCS’s patented dispersive solid-phase extraction (dSPE) technology, IMCStips®, continues to be a critical tool in high-throughput antibody purification used by biotech and biopharma companies.
Dr. Wang is currently a Carolina Distinguished Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Lee is the Chief Scientific Officer at IMCS.
Congratulations to Dr. Wang and Dr. Lee for this amazing honor!
